An applied-AI lab, built to turn research into AI that people can actually use.
theLabs exists to close a specific gap. There is no shortage of capable models. There is a shortage of AI that reaches the person who needs it, in a form they can trust and afford.
So we build products, not a platform. Kayon for local-LLM developers, Cempala for developers already living inside AI coding agents, Dalang for teams evaluating a multi-model answer engine. Each one refuses a comfortable lie its category tells, and shows the working instead.
One foundation, many products, is deliberate. What we learn building and measuring one product carries into the next, instead of starting cold each time.
Our bias is toward proof. We would rather show a benchmark or a shipped result than make a claim we cannot back. That discipline is the subject of a separate note.
