No symbol — the logo is the name, set with intent. the in italic, Labs upright, and a single clay period for punctuation — the same full stop as “made useful.” It holds in one color and scales from favicon to billboard.
Each product carries its own mark.
The company logo is the wordmark; each product gets its own symbol. Dalang's is the puppeteer's control bar — one clay hub as the dalang's hand, strings fanning to the cast it animates.
As the lineup grows, each product earns a mark in the same family: geometric, single-accent, Iris by default.

heritage accentType: Instrument Serif sets the wordmark (italic “the”, upright “Labs”) and display; Geist runs the UI; Geist Mono carries labels & code. The clay period is the only accent in the logo. Clear space = the cap-height of “L” on all sides; minimum 96px wide (use the “L.” monogram below that).
